DC Shoes designs and markets footwear and apparel inspired by action sports such as skateboarding and snowboarding. Founded in 1994 by Damon Way and Ken Block, DC Shoes quickly became known as a global lifestyle brand promoting individuality through their apparel. The Huntington-based company has expanded to include men’s, women’s, and kid’s shoes, apparel, outwear as well as snowboards, snowboard boots, and accessories.
DC Shoes hired The Sage Group to pursue M&A opportunities. In May 2004, the company decided to partner with Quicksilver who shares the same position in the global youth market. The merger will enable the brand to build on Quicksilver’s global platform and footwear operations.
