Splendid and Ella Moss

was acquired by VF Corporation

Mo Industries designs, markets, and wholesales contemporary apparel and luxury basics under the Splendid and Ella Moss brands. The Company was founded in 1992 by Moise Emquies who wanted to create brands that addressed the lucrative voids in the fashion marketplace. The Ella Moss brand is a full line of ultra-feminine contemporary apparel with tops, skirts, dresses, pants, shorts, and bathing suits. The brand is popular among trendsetters and celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Liv Tyler, and Scarlett Johansson.

In 2002, The Company introduced the Splendid brand with its use of luxurious fabrics for soft, comfortable knit basics with an emphasis on sexy fits and versatility. The Ella Moss and Splendid brands are sold at specialty stores and boutiques such as Scoops, Fred Segal, Ron Herman, Colette, and high-end department stores such as Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom.

The Sage Group acted as an exclusive financial advisor to Mo Industries in its sale to VF Corporation, who acquired one-third of Mo Industries’ capital stock in June 2008 and the remaining two-thirds in March 2009.
