CW Holdings, LLC (together with its subsidiaries, the “Company” or “Coldwater”), the parent company of the Coldwater Creek and Soft Surroundings brands, has been acquired by Nexus Capital Management LP, a Los Angeles-based alternative asset management firm, from Newtimes Group.
The Sage Group, LLC (“Sage”) initiated the transaction and served as exclusive financial advisor to Coldwater.
About the Transaction
Coldwater operates two complementary women’s apparel and lifestyle brands, Coldwater Creek and Soft Surroundings, serving women 45 and older through its e-commerce sites and catalogs. Since bringing the two brands together in 2023, the Company has built a scaled direct-to-consumer platform with a highly loyal, repeat customer base.
Coldwater is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with additional offices in St. Louis, Missouri, and Boston, Massachusetts. The Company’s flagship brand, Coldwater Creek, was founded in Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1984 and offers women’s apparel, shoes and accessories, inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Soft Surroundings, founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1999, offers women’s apparel and lifestyle products designed around softness, comfort and artisanal details.
